1st Latvia Ambassador 1day Students’ Competition 2019 is the first of its kind essay competition, open for all Indian students studying in any board in India from grade 7 to 12. Students are invited to participate in the competition and express their views about the topic related to Latvia, explore relevant websites to find relevant information about the theme/topic and execute the best essay.

The winners of essay competition will be invited for reception dinner at residence of ambassador/ at embassy and will be accommodated at embassy for a day to explore, understand and learn real diplomatic skills.

Essay Topic:   My first 3 tasks, I would like to perform as a Latvian Ambassador to strengthen Latvia- India relations”

World Counts:  300-500 words

Eligibility:  Class 7 to 12 students

Awards:

  • 7 winners will be invited for reception dinner at embassy in Delhi
  • 7 winners will be accommodated at embassy for a day and perform the real task as diplomats, learn basic skills and duties of diplomats and learn about embassy’s work.

Objective of Competition:

  • Students can understand about UN’s sustainable global goals and contribute themselves by exploring the topics, accessing information and use the knowledge and understanding in real life in society.
  • Through essay competition student can understand the value of food and how people are affected without food and measurements can be taken to achieve ZeroHunger.

The competition is open for all students studying in India from class 7 to university level. Foreign national students can participate if they study in India.

International Essay Contest for Young People

This annual essay contest is organized in an effort to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of the world’s youth in promoting a culture of peace and sustainable development. It also aims to inspire society to learn from the young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world.

*This program is an activity within the framework of the UNESCO Global Action Programme (GAP) on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

Theme: “The Change I Want to Make”

What is the one thing you would like to change the most to make your school, workplace, community, country or the world a better place? How would you bring about that change? Please share your concrete ideas.

Essays may be submitted by anyone up to 25 years old (as of June 15, 2018) in one of the following age categories: a) Children (ages up to 14) b) Youth (ages 15 – 25)

Essays must be 700 words or less in English, French, Spanish or German, or 1600 characters or less in Japanese, excluding essay title and cover page. Essays may be typed or printed.

Deadline: Entries must be received by June 15, 2018 (23:59 your local time).

XXII Children’s Drawing Contest 2018

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME) is pleased to invite you to participate in the XXII Children’s Drawing Contest “Este es mi México”, with the subject “Éste es mi México: History, traditions, gastronomy, beaches, music”.

TO PARTICIPATE:

  • Make a drawing.
  • Send your drawing to (Embassy of Mexico) or the nearest Embassy, Consulate of Mexico or Delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Be between 6 and 14 years old.
  • Make your drawings or paintings with brush, pencil, acrylics, watercolors, crayons or any other material of your choice.
  • Draw or paint on a square cardboard (30 x 30 cm / 12×12 inches).
  • Paste the registration format with all the requested data on the back of your drawing.
