Financial Literacy Training Programs

Financial literacy means having the skills and knowledge to make informed decisions about managing your money. Understanding basic financial concepts lets people know how to navigate the financial system. People with financial literacy skills make better financial decisions and manage money better than those without these skills.

Objective:

To instill comprehensive knowledge and skills about financial planning, financial products, governments schemes  etc. and educate from school students to college students, from teachers to professors, from labor workers to skill workers; as per the need of future to make more financial sound citizen and assess their understanding about financial literacy education.

Financial Literary in India

  • 24% Indian are financially literate
  • 3 out of 10 Indian understand the concept of compound interest
  • 4 out of 10 Indian are financially broken
  • According to a survey conducted by Standard & Poor’s Financial Services, less than 25 percent of South Asian countries’ adult population is financially literate.
  • India is home to 17.5% of the world’s population but nearly 76% of its adult population does not understand even the basic financial concepts.

Free Online Training Programs:

1. Financial Education Training Program (FETP): For School Teachers of class 8 to 10

After completion of the training, participating teachers will be certified as “Money Smart Teacher” and would facilitate conducting financial education classes in schools and encourage students to obtain basic financial skills.

2. Financial Awareness and Consumer Training (FACT): For college / university students

  • Certificate for coordinator and College / University

3. Financial Education Program for Adults (FEPA): For Professors / supporting staffs / admin staffs /working groups /company employees / adults etc

  • Certificate for coordinator and College / University

Other Information:

  • Minimum Participants: 40 participants
  • Duration of Training Program: 2 hours
  • Venue: Google Meet
  • Training Cost: Free; there is no training cost at any stage

The programs are supported by NCFE (National Center for Financial Education) – a Section 8 (Not for Profit) Company promoted by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).
