Cancellation and refund policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to paid contest registrations, event registrations, and other fee-based opportunities on PTGLOBALEDU, unless a specific contest or checkout screen publishes different terms.

Free contests do not create a charge and are outside refund processing. Demo or bypass checkout modes do not create real charges and therefore do not produce refunds.

2. When you can cancel

You may request cancellation when all of the following are true:

• The registration or payment window for that contest or event is still open (or the organiser has not yet closed cancellations).
• You have not started the paid activity — for quiz contests, you have not started a timed attempt; for creative contests, you have not submitted a final entry that the contest treats as locked.
• Results processing or certificate generation for your registration has not begun.

If the contest page states a shorter cancellation cut-off, that cut-off applies.

3. Non-refundable cases

Fees are generally non-refundable when:

• You have started a quiz attempt, or the attempt auto-submitted after the timer ended.
• You submitted a creative entry after the upload deadline rules treat it as final.
• You missed the contest window after paying, unless the organiser cancels the contest.
• Your attempt or entry was voided for fair-play or eligibility breaches described in the Terms.
• The contest was free for your board or campus and no real payment was collected.

If PTGLOBALEDU or the organiser cancels a paid contest before it runs, we will refund eligible paid registrations for that contest.

4. How refunds work

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where the gateway supports it. Bank or card issuer timelines vary and may take several business days after we initiate the refund.

Partial refunds may apply if a contest publishes a clear partial-refund rule (for example, before a published date). Otherwise refunds are full fee amounts we collected for that registration, excluding third-party charges the gateway cannot reverse.

5. Duplicate or failed payments

If you were charged more than once for the same contest registration, or a payment succeeded but registration did not confirm on the contest page, contact support with your account email, contest name or code, and payment reference.

We will investigate gateway records and refund duplicate or failed settlements that are confirmed on our side.

6. How to request

Use Contact or the support email / phone in website Settings. Include:

• Account email and registered name
• Contest or event name (and code if shown)
• Payment reference / transaction id
• Reason for cancellation or refund

Incomplete requests may delay review. We aim to respond within a reasonable support window during business days.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The version on this page applies to purchases made after the “Last updated” date, unless a contest checkout showed a different policy at the time of payment.
