The Felicitation ceremony and Interaction Program of the first Edition of the Foreign Policy & Diplomacy Quiz Contest – 2020 was held virtually on Thursday, 7th January 2021 at 15h IST.
H.E. Mr Artis Bērtulis, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in India interacted with winners and other participants of the First Edition of the Foreign Policy & Diplomacy Quiz Contest – 2020. Almost 60 participants from India, UAE and Oman joined the closing felicitation ceremony and interaction program of the FPDQC -2020. Ambassador Mr. Bērtulis shared his insight and views about Latvia, its Foreign Policy, relations with India and different avenues of opportunities etc. with students of various schools from India, UAE and Oman.
The virtual felicitation and interaction was very successful and it was seen very active participation of students and their wonderful feedback about their participation and learning. The students asked questions to gather more information about Latvia and bilateral relations to ambassador and ambassador conveyed best answer for the questions asked during the interaction.
The ambassador mentioned students as a true and close friend and family of Latvia because one of the student calls Latvia as “The Land of Amber” and Ambassador Mr Bērtulis mentioned in his tweet that only close friends and family know the synonym – “The Land of Amber” for Latvia.
It is very positive learning for students about Latvia and their participation in the Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Quiz Contest – 2020 opened new doors of learning beyond textbooks and out of the box.
Thanks a lot to all school principals, directors and parents for motivating and encouraging your students/ward(s) for learning new topics and themes and special thanks to all students for exploring and accepting new challenges and learning.
It is proved that any circumstance may affect more or less our lives but not learning. Bravo!
