RESULTS- KOREA- INDIA FRIENDSHIP ESSAY COMPETITION

1st Latvia Ambassador 1day Students’ Competition 2019 is the first of its kind essay competition, open for all Indian students studying in any board in India from grade 7 to 12. Students are invited to participate in the competition and express their views about the topic related to Latvia, explore relevant websites to find relevant information about the theme/topic and execute the best essay.

The winners of essay competition will be invited for reception dinner at residence of ambassador/ at embassy and will be accommodated at embassy for a day to explore, understand and learn real diplomatic skills.

Essay Topic:   My first 3 tasks, I would like to perform as a Latvian Ambassador to strengthen Latvia- India relations”

Word Counts:  300-500 words

Eligibility:  Class 7 to 12 students

Awards:

  • 7 winners will be accommodated at embassy for a day and perform the real task as diplomats, learn basic skills and duties of diplomats and learn about embassy’s work.
  • 7 winners will be invited for reception dinner at embassy in Delhi
  • 7 winners will be felicitated with Latvian souvenir kit + Trophy + Book “Rapid Vedic Mathematics
  • Certificate of honour for all participating students.

The Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, are pleased to announce that the CLICK! JAPAN PHOTO CONTEST 2018 will be held this year, again.

Selected photos will be displayed in a photo exhibition at the Japan Foundation, located at 5A, Ring Road, Lajpat Nagar-IV, New Delhi, from the 1st to 30th of August 2018.

Winners of 10 outstanding works will be invited to the Ambassador’s residence for the prize ceremony, and all winners will be given awards (photo album of the winners’ works).

Guideline: 
  • This contest is open to residents of India, who have stayed in Japan for any duration between July 2017 and June 2018. The photo(s) must be the original works of the participant, and taken in Japan within the period mentioned above.
  • Submission of photos and application form: Send your photos and scanned application form to dl.india@nd.mofa.go.jp with the subject of email “Photo Contest”.
  • Starting & deadline of submission of entries: 20th April 2018 to 5:00 PM, 6 th July, 2018
  • Entries are being accepted from 20th April to 6th July 2018.

2018 Theme and Message: Living Peace What does Living Peace Mean to You?

This year our theme is co-created with Living Peace International, which was founded in Egypt in 2011, by Carlos Palma. Living Peace International promotes the affirmation of a culture of peace, the only one who can respect and respond to the real and deep questions of each and every one, in the journey towards universal friendship.

The artwork should be drawn and painted to express your life as a person who is Living Peace daily in your life and what Living Peace means to you. Living Peace is a way of life in which we respect and love each other even though we are different.  The artwork must include the Universal Message of Peace “May Peace Prevail On Earth”

 Rules and Guidelines

Artwork

  • Size: Horizontal or Vertical design
  • 5” inches x 7” inches  (12.7 cm x 17.7 cm)
  • All art must be hand drawn, sketched or painted on paper or cardboard. You can upload your artwork or send by postal mail when it is finished.
  • Artwork must follow the theme “Living Peace” and include the words “May Peace Prevail On Earth”
  • Your artwork must include the message, “May Peace Prevail On Earth” in English and/or your Native Language. All drawings must be done by children, including the writing of May Peace Prevail On Earth.  
  • Submitted Artwork must be done by the artist.
